With 1 in 4 people experiencing a mental health problem each year why is talking about it so hard? Why do many people keep their struggles a secret and deal with them alone? Why does the stigma around mental health still exist?
Thursday 7th February 2019 is Time to Talk Day, a campaign run by Time to Change, an organisation led by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. They are encouraging everyone to have a conversation with either friends or colleagues, neighbours or family members, in work or at schools about mental health and to challenge the stigma.
To take part, for more information and downloadable resources to host your own Time to Talk day please see www.time-to-change.org.uk/get-involved/timetotalkday2019 and lets get people talking!
